Mr. Francis Olugbenga Shobo, FCA, the Chairman of Payatitude Global is also the Deputy Managing Director of First Bank of Nigeria Limited (the Bank).

He joined the Board of the Bank in 2012. Prior to his appointment as Deputy Managing Director, he was the Executive Director overseeing the Retail Banking/Public Sector businesses in the Lagos & West Directorate and was hitherto the Executive Director overseeing the Retail Business in the South Directorate.

Gbenga began his professional career with Coopers & Lybrand Chartered Accountants as an External Auditor and Tax Consultant. Over the course of his outstanding career, he became the Divisional Head, Corporate Banking Division of MBC International Bank Limited and subsequently, the General Manager, Corporate/Commercial Banking of FBN (Merchant Bankers) Limited before joining the Bank. At FirstBank, he has served in senior management roles at various times as the General Manager Products & Channels Group; Business Development Manager in charge of Rivers & Bayelsa States; and also held the position of Group Head, National Corporates.

Gbenga has over 30 years’ work experience from reputable organizations out of which he has garnered more than 26 years in the Banking Industry in Credit & Relationship Management; Products Development & Improvement; Treasury; Product Sales and Banking Operations, amongst others.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an alumnus of Kellogg School of Management and Harvard Business School. Gbenga also holds a B.Sc. Degree in Political Science from the University of Ife. In addition, he has taken various courses and attended various programmes in top-rated business schools including The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania) and Stanford University.

Gbenga is the first person to be appointed to the position of Deputy Managing Director of FirstBank in the Bank’s over 120 years history, a testament to his total commitment and professionalism. He is happily married with children and loves reading, playing golf and lawn tennis.

Babatunde Okeniyi is the Pioneer Managing Director/CEO of Payattitude. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director/CEO, he was Executive Director, Marketing & Sales in Unified Payments, Director, IT & Operations in Unified Payments. Babatunde has also worked in different institutions including Citibank Nigeria, Ecobank and UBA Plc where he was General Manager and Group Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the group with branches in 17 African Countries.

Babatunde holds an MBA (University of Lagos), B.Sc (Obafemi Awolowo University) and he is an Alumnus of Harvard Business School and Lagos Business School. Babatunde is a fellow

Agada Apochi is an Organizational Psychologist & Change Leadership Specialist and also a Practitioner-Scholar in diffusion of innovation and digital financial services. He has over 30 years of professional experience in banking and financial technology. Agada is the Founder/Director of Payattitude.

Agada is the Managing Director & CEO of Nigeria’s premier financial technology company, UP (Unified Payments), which is a group of companies with services including Banking, Payment Scheme, Financial Technology, Digital Commerce, Value Added Service, Payment Solutions, Software Solutions, etc. He is also the Founder/Director of Hope PSBank as well as the telecom VAS provider, UP Digital Limited. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TM30 which is a software company.

Agada attained Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) with specialization in diffusion of innovation and digital financial services as well as Master Degree in Applied Business Research from SBS Swiss Business School in Switzerland, Master Degree (MA) in Organizational Psychology with specialization in Change Leadership from Columbia University in New York, Master Degree in Law (LL.M.) from Rivers State University, Barrister at Law (BL) from the Nigerian Law School and Bachelor Degree in Law (LL.B.) from the University of Jos. He is also is an Alumnus of Lagos Business School and Cornell University. He has attended different executive learning programs including programs at Harvard Business School, Insead Business School and Bank Card Business School in Cambridge. Agada holds several academic honours and awards including best graduating student. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1992 and has since worked and gained experience in company law & practice, banking and financial services, electronic transactions, retail business, administration, strategy, execution and change leadership.

Agada is currently the President of Lagos Business School Alumni Association and a Life Member of the Governing Council of the association. Agada is an Organizational Psychologist, Innovator and Entrepreneur. He is a Fellow, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Fellow, International Academy of Cards & Payments, Fellow, Institute of Credit Administration, Certified International Cards & Payments Professional (CICPP), Certified Associate of Capability Maturity Model Institute, Chartered Mediator & Conciliator, Barrister & Solicitor. He has to his credit, different professional and technical papers. Agada is married with children.

Victor Etuokwu is an Executive Director of Access Bank Plc and represents the bank on the board of PayAttitude Global Limited. He has about 20 years banking experience cutting across banking operations and information technology, internal control, general administration, retail banking, business acquisition and integration.

He joined Access Bank in July 2003 from Citibank Nigeria and was promoted to General Manager in February 2008. He has served the Bank in different capacities, leading several successful and critically important projects across the Bank. The latest of such projects was the acquisition of controlling equity interest in Intercontinental Bank Plc and the subsequent merger of both banks.

Mr. Etuokwu holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Ibadan and University of Benin respectively. He is a Senior Honorary member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

Sampson Aneke represents United Bank for Africa on the Board of Payattitude Global Ltd. He is currently a Group General Manager (GGM) in United Bank for Africa (UBA) Group in charge of Retail, Transaction & Digital Banking Group. Sampson has held several Executive Functions in UBA some of which are as follows: Directorate Head, South Bank spanning over 17 States of the Federation and housing over 313 Branches. Head SME Banking in 20 UBA present countries, double-hatted as Group Head, Digital Banking and Bank Head (BH), Apapa 2 Region. A highly motivated and experienced professional with strong business development skills and financial knowledge, anchored on extensive hands-on experience in Customer Centrism, deep understanding of banking industry dynamics, strong digital background, excellent negotiation and cost management skills.

Sampson has put up over two decades of Banking experience which spanned across three banks, Ecobank, Access Bank (formerly Diamond Bank) and United Bank for Africa (UBA). He has spent over 15 years in Senior Management Levels.

He holds a B.Sc. degree in Banking and Finance, MBA in Business Administration & Management. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria where he qualified after passing the Institutes examinations with Distinction in Accounting. He is also a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management and an Alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School. He has attended various local and foreign courses.

Segun Opeke is an Executive Director of Polaris Bank Ltd and represents the Bank on the Board of Director of PayAttitude Global Ltd. He has over twenty-six years of hands-on work experience acquired from leading Nigerian commercial banks with more than fifteen years in Senior and Executive Management roles.

Before becoming an Executive Director, Mr. Opeke was the Directorate Head, Lagos Business. The Lagos Directorate, under his leadership, recorded outstanding growth and contributed significantly to the turnaround of the Bank, evidenced by its impressive financial performance recorded in the 2019 financial year. Since the CBN intervention in the erstwhile Skye Bank Plc in July 2016, Segun has played a prominent role in the Bank’s transformation initiatives and very instrumental to the several milestone achievements of the Bank.

Segun started his banking career in Chartered Bank and later rose to occupy strategic roles in various institutions, including leading the consumer banking team in FSB International Bank and serving as the Area Manager in charge of the Victoria Island and Ikoyi business of Prudent Bank.

Following the emergence of Skye Bank in 2006, Segun worked as the Bank’s Treasurer and Regional Director for Victoria Island and Ikoyi. He was also the Group Head for Corporate Banking, Aviation, and Maritime Group at various times. Mr. Opeke brought his leadership skills to bear, as he successfully managed some large portfolios, including the Bank’s Lagos Corporate and Commercial Banking Division and the Corporate Planning and Strategy Group.

Segun holds a BSc. (Banking and Finance) and an MBA from the University of Lagos. He is an alumnus of the Columbia Business School, New York. He has attended several professional, management, and leadership programmes in world-class institutions, including INSEAD and Euromoney, London. He is credited with making immense contributions in change management, corporate finance/restructuring, and digital transformation. He is happily married with children.

Kevin Ugwuoke is an Executive Director of Fidelity Bank Plc and represents the Bank on the Board of Directors of PayAttitude Global Ltd. He was appointed Executive Director, Risk Management / Chief Risk Officer in July 2020. He previously served as the General Manager, Chief Risk Officer and he is currently responsible for Credit Risk Management, Credit Strategy & Policy, Risk Measurement, IT Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, and Compliance.

He joined Fidelity Bank in March 2015 as General Manager. Prior to joining Fidelity Bank, he served a number of managerial roles across major financial institutions such as United Bank for Africa, Access Bank and Citi Bank.

Kevin attended University of Nigeria, Nsukka, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from Edinburgh Business School of Heriot Watt University. He is a Senior Honorary Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
